AdaptaPlay

Our solution

AdaptaPlay is an adaptive gaming controller add-on for individuals with disabilities. It is a non-destructive printed shell that snaps onto a standard gaming controller and mechanically links buttons, enabling multi-button control with limited hand function. It can be used with one spastic hand without fingers, or with one’s chin, mouth or head pointer.

Mission

AdaptaPlay’s mission is to develop, test, and distribute an easily customizable adaptive gaming controller add-on so individuals with disabilities can play online games, connect with peers, and reduce isolation.

For Institutions

AdaptaPlay is now offering pilot trials for institutions seeking to expand accessible recreational and rehabilitation opportunities. Partner organizations can participate in a four-week, free-of-charge program that enables individuals with limited hand function to independently engage in gaming for social connection and upper-body rehabilitation.

Participating institutions will receive a fully assembled mobile unit, along with setup support and trial guidance. Feedback gathered during the pilot will inform further development and implementation across clinical, therapeutic, and community settings.
